Making scrubs for the NHS

Supporting our NHS

Helping to support the NHS staff during this crisis

We and our team of dedicated, professional machinists and pattern cutters with whom we create our wedding dresses for our lovely brides who have had to cancel or post-poned their weddings have swapped sewing wedding dresses in silk by day for NHS scrubs in cotton drill and poly/cotton during lockdown, using our special skills in a new way. We are stitching scrubs to help protect our NHS, we all want to do as much as we can. There's a huge shortage we need more - many of our own brides are doctors and have asked us to help them create scrubs as they don't have enough at the hospitals they are at.

Some NHS staff such as GP's and consultants don’t usually wear scrubs - but this is the safest and easiest way for them to dress during this crisis.

We are working within the strict guidelines of the lockdown and are are asking for donations per uniform to cover material, delivery and running costs. It costs us approximately £20 per Scrub set.

All our volunteers are giving up their time and expertise for free. Through this fund, after costs have been deducted, we will be proudly donating to help support the NHS Charities Together: as the National membership organisation for NHS Charities, we represent, champion and support the work of more than 140 member charities. These fantastic NHS Charities give over £1million every day to the NHS enhancing patient experience and care.

Let's come together to help the people on the front line who are working 24/7 to keep us all safe.

To find out more about how to set up a Scrub Hub in your local area visit their website: https://scrubhub.org.uk/

Across the country hundreds of scrubs are now being made to order by experienced and professional volunteers, working safely (and rather magically) within the guidelines of the lockdown. If you are a member of the public and you'd like to sponsor our efforts you can do so here!
