Please read the following terms and conditions closely before using our website (‘site’). By accessing, browsing and using this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms and conditions.

Ethical Policy
As a company we have strong ethical core values: all our dresses are made in the uk; available with options to select peace silks (we are currently sourcing other fabric options to select eco silk-like fabrics like bamboo, soya and seaweed), please enquire for further details if you are interested in any of these fabrics; dresses are ethically priced and not over inflated and produced in factories which have been vetted by Motasem and have high quality standards; all fabric offcuts produced when dresses are made are given to the bride to reduce wastage (offcut fabrics can be used to decorate tables, flowers, invitations and bouquets); most of our dresses are made in natural silks which have not been bleached or dyed and all materials, paper and card are always recycled.

Product and Service Details
We reserve the right to change any services, product prices, product specifications and availability at any time. All prices and descriptions supersede all previous publications. All sizes are approximate. We cannot guarantee that colours and details in images are accurate representations of the product. Delivery dates and stock due in dates do not form part of any contract with us and we cannot be held liable for any losses whether direct or indirect if your order is delayed or not delivered by any dates that may have been given by us.

Ordering
Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send an email confirmation to you that we have despatched that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the despatch confirmation email to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a despatch confirmation email to have been despatched do not form part of that contract. The company shall under no circumstances be held liable for any losses special to the particular circumstances of the customer, indirect or consequential losses or for loss of profits, damage or property or wasted expenditure.

Appointments
Try on a sample dress in your size, choose from colour swatches, 50% non refundable deposit taken, delivery date confirmed within 2 months, shorter timescales are possible at an additional cost of 30% extra fee of the cost of the dress. Appointments scheduled every Saturday or weekdays between 09:00 and 12:30 Monday to Friday.

Alterations
All dresses are in set sizes to fit the size chart below. Some alterations can be made whilst the dress is being made to order at an additional cost of £60 per alteration (i.e. hem length, taking in at side seams and shoulder straps). Any further alterations after the dress is made will be carried out with a partnering alterations company. Whilst some selected designs are available with optional design features, designs cannot be changed. We do not offer a bespoke design service, all dresses are ready to wear and have been designed to be easily altered.

Payment
We accept payment through BACS after an invoice has been raised, cheque and paypal through sales@motasem.co.uk. We take a 50% non refundable deposit when orders are placed, and the balance is payable on collection or when your dress is ready for despatch. If the dress is cancelled after the order has been placed, the 50% is non refundable.

Returns
We trust you will be happy with your purchase, however if for any reason you are not, follow the instructions to return your purchase found below under ‘unwanted goods ‘. Please remember that we have most of the dresses on display in our showroom – so if you are unsure about suitability / sizing / colour / fabric, feel free to call and arrange to visit us before purchasing, alternatively – call us for further information.

Please ensure you check all garment dimensions carefully before ordering, and once you are in receipt of your fabulous purchase, be sure to open and check it within 3 days of receiving it, informing us of any transit damage problems immediately.

Unwanted Goods
If you change your mind for any reason and you wish to return your purchase you must notify us within 7 days in writing by letter, fax or email.

Unwanted items must be returned in a fully resaleable condition, which includes being in the original, unmarked and undamaged packaging within 7 days of receipt. Returns outside these timeframes may be accepted at the discretion of Motasem and may only be refunded as a store credit. Items must not have been used in any way. Items can be returned to the London showroom in person by appointment and in most cases will be refunded immediately. Motasem retains the right to refuse a refund on any item not deemed to be resaleable.

Please note that we do not offer a free returns service. We do not refund the return postage cost or the original delivery charge. We do not accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit back to us. If returning your purchase by mail we recommend that you get proof of postage.

You must include your customer order details with the package, as we cannot process a refund without these. Once received the items will be checked and a refund issued within four weeks. Items returned must arrive in perfect condition, including the packaging, so please ensure that they are packed well.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund on any item if the above conditions have not been met.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Goods
If your purchase is not fit for purpose, is misdescribed, faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, please contact us as soon as possible to arrange a refund or replacement. We will require you to return the item, as it may be necessary to return it to the manufacturer. You must check all items and parts of items for damage prior to assembly.

Include your customer order details with the package, as we cannot process the returned goods without these. Once received the items will be checked and a replacement or refund issued within four weeks.

THIS DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.

Personal Data
The personal information that we collect from you is used to operate our business and improve our service to customers.

We use your data to fulfil your orders and to provide you with information about our products and services.

Names and Addresses
We never make names and addresses (but never email addresses or telephone numbers) available to other companies.

Email addresses
By supplying us with your email address you are allowing us to keep in touch when you place an order (order confirmation), when we have despatched your order to you or to deal with any possible queries you may have with your order.

We will also use it to alert you to special promotions such as customer evenings. sample sales and fashion events and keep you up to date with new promotions or services.

If you do not wish to receive these marketing emails please email to mail@motasem.co.uk and we will make sure we don’t email you about these things.

You can also unsubscribe from receiving the email by clicking on the unsubscribe link on the bottom of any email we have sent you. We will of course still send you emails relating directly to any order you have placed.

Mobile numbers and landlines
We require a telephone number when an order is placed. This is to allow us to contact you when delivering an order or dealing with any queries you may have. If you supply us with a mobile number we can also alert you by text when your goods are ready to be despatched and let you arrange delivery by text plus we can send you details of special offers we may be running.
